Joe Kubic obtains a $175,000.00 settlement against a local public transportation agency for injuries
the client sustained while exiting a bus. The client stepped off the bus onto a stormwater grate that was
below street level and thereby caused her ankle to twist. The client sustained a fracture requiring surgery.
After surgery, the client developed an infection that required additional surgeries. The personal injury attorneys at Harlow,
Adams & Friedman, P.C. were able to prove, upon retaining a nationally recognized bus safety expert, that
the bus driver had not placed the exit door of the bus within 6 to 12 inches from the curb and placed the
exit door of the bus in an unsafe location.
